The temperature was brisk. The rain was constant. The kids were not complainers. The day started out rather suddenly when we received a text that the day would start and hour prior to what we thought when we went to bed. Then the rain was drizzling all day and the temperature was not quite comfortably. However, despite all of these variables, the day went well. I spent my time identifying macroinvertibrites with Emily Eastern Bluebird and Liz Lilly. My favorite part of this station is when the students finally match their specimen to the charts and feel the accomplishment of identifying! Their pride is palpable.
