Twas a gloomy day when Abby and Ryan embarked on a journey with elementary students from Churubusco Elementary. The air was filled with excitement, the temperature read a comfortable reading, and th--- ah, what's this? Rain? Within 10 minutes of beginning the hike? Oh no. Hard rain. Rain that would leave you soaked! Hurry, little ones! To the bird observ--- wait, it's gone already? Less than 2 minutes of hard rain?
I thought today went well. I was very relieved when the rain let up! It ended up sprinkling the last 15 minutes, but not enough to keep us from having fun! We had a good sum of kids today, which made it hard to examine things without the little ones trying to push to get a look or touch something. Still, it all worked out!
I ended up handing Sippy the snake today instead of Don. She did great!
