I also went to this school...

Okay...third consecutive day of former schools for me! Woo!  I went to Harrison Elementary after Syracuse Elementary for the second half of fourth grade and the first half of fifth grade. I even got to talk with my former teacher, Mr. Palmer. That made me excited for the day!

Abby and I were supposed to lead hikes in the morning, then work the ID station in the afternoon. However, with bus driver complications, we ended up assisting Stacey at the Glacier Retreat Center, then doing ID in the afternoon at the Farmstead. Our job was, for the morning, to help Stacey with crowd control. I went above and beyond expectations and showed everyone BED STRAW!!! I think I did the chaperons a favor by showing them how to sneak up on people with bed straw seeming that the little ones loved to target the chaperons.

In the afternoon, it got repetitive really fast for me. It was kind of boring for me also, but it's about the kids, and they had fun getting a close look at critters. I got to run the tallies and help them with the math to show how good the water quality is.

Favorite part of the day:

Breaking rocks so the kids could bring a part of them home.

Bad side of this:

In the second group, the first two rocks I broke had a piece break off and B line it to my chin! In the same spot! Ouch! Still, they got a good laugh out of it and I only had to walk the second one off!
